What is IFS?

IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a scientifically validated, evidence-based psychotherapeutic approach clinically proven to be effective in treating PTSD, depression, anxiety, and many related struggles. (Studies Here)

It is a client-led, non-pathologising, compassionate, profoundly transformational collaborative work that is just as effective online as in person.

What are Parts in IFS?

I offer session online, as well as from premises in Melun. I also have some availability for appointments at the clients' homes in Fontainebleau, Avon, Bois-le-Roi, Melun, and Paris, with an extra fee for travel.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based therapy that helps you explore and heal your inner world by working with different 'parts' of yourself.
Sessions begin by slowing down and turning inward. With my guidance through prompting questions and reframing suggestions, you notice different 'parts' of yourself and learn to listen to them with curiosity and compassion.
Only if you want to! In IFS, It's not necessary to explain every detail. The focus is on your present-moment experience and how your parts show up right now.
Many people feel calmer, lighter, or more connected to themselves. Sometimes strong emotions surface, but these usually lead to relief and new understanding.
Yes — IFS works just as well online as in person, making it ideal for expats, internationals, and remote workers across Europe or anywhere else in the world.
IFS can benefit absolutely anyone, at anyone stage of their life, regardless of their identity or current circumstances. It has been clinically proven to help treat symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, depression, and other conditions, and as well as related experiences like burnout, impostor syndrome, perfectionism, homesickness, workplace stress, or identity shifts and crises.

Absolutely. IFS provides practical tools to manage stress, soften the inner critic, and restore balance when remote work or expat life feels overwhelming.
Reimbursement depends on your country and insurer. Some plans cover therapy or counseling in English. I provide invoices if needed.
The Core Idea: We All Have 'Parts'

IFS sees the mind not as one fixed voice, but as a community of different 'parts.' You may know these parts already:

  • The anxious part that fears failure or rejection.
  • The perfectionist part that pushes too hard.
  • The inner critic part that says you’re not good enough.
  • The homesick part that longs for safety and belonging.
These parts aren’t problems in themselves — they developed to protect you. But when they clash, they can leave you feeling stuck, stressed, or overwhelmed.

The Role of the Self

IFS is based on the idea that beneath all our parts, each of us has a core Self — calm, compassionate, and capable of leading our inner system. Therapy is about helping you reconnect with this Self, so your parts feel heard, supported, and less extreme.

Why People Choose IFS

Many clients come to IFS after trying other forms of therapy that felt limited — too much talking about problems, not enough lasting change. IFS feels different because:

  • It is non-pathologising — it does not seek to diagnose or use the language of illness, only to understand and support.
  • It is collaborative — you set the pace.
  • It is gentle — no forcing or retraumatizing.
  • It helps with real, everyday struggles like anxiety, workplace stress, and identity shifts, while also offering space for deeper healing.
  • It works well online — you can do this work from home, wherever you are in Europe or across the world.

What a Session Looks Like

A typical IFS session involves:

  • Slowing down and tuning in to what’s present in the moment.
  • Meeting different parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion.
  • Learning to listen to your inner world in a new way.
  • Gaining practical tools to handle stress, perfectionism, and the pressures of expat or remote-work life.
Sessions with me can be 60, 80, or 100 minutes.
